Recently in the past week, three republican candidates have announced their withdrawal from the presidential primary race. Jon Huntsman former Governor of Utah, Michele Bachmann Representative from Minnesota, and Rick Perry Current Governor of Texas have all announced their withdrawals from the race. This leaves four major candidates left in the race for the Republican Party Nomination for President. Mitt Romney former Governor of Massachusetts, Ron Paul Representative from Texas, Rick Santorum former Senator from Pennsylvania, and Newt Gingrich former Speaker of the House. Perry has declared he will endorse Gingrich, Huntsman will endorse Romney, and Bachmann will endorse Paul. With these three dropping out of the race many people believe it is now a two man game for the nomination between Romney and Gingrich. Recently Gingrich just won the South Carolina Primary, where history has shown that the winner of the state has gone on to be the Party's Nomination. With Paul and Santorum losing momentum, it is only a matter of time before the man taking on President Obama this fall for office will be decided.
